Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child was my ISP for the 2017-18 NHS year. Operation Christmas Child is a project that an organization named Samaritan’s Purse organizes. Operation Christmas Child helps children in need all over the world get a shoebox filled with toys, clothes, hygiene products, etc. as their Christmas present. In this ISP, I made flyers, and organized the shoebox pickup in the High School and Elementary School. NHS members then helped me wrap all the shoeboxes. I had 3 days dedicated for wrapping the shoeboxes, and, with some help, we got it all done! I delivered the 93 shoeboxes to a local church the following day. This project provided 93 kids with their own Christmas present and that’s pretty cool!    -Abby Brand

This is one of the kindest things that I have seen on the internet in a while. I think that it is nice that there are people who do this to make other people smile. It is not common to see people help out anymore, especially during this toxic time. I am really hoping that we can start making a better society. I want children to be a lot more happier, I want the next generation to change their ways.
